Planning

Thank you for signing up for cSplash! We are very much looking forward to meeting all of you. While we have no doubt that you will find more than enough talks that will interest you, we ask that you consider leaving a period or two free on your schedule. Not only will you learn more by taking fewer classes and talking to other students about the material outside of the classes, but your brain will also need to relax every so often! See the During the Day section for non-class events during the day.

Please bring the following to the event:
  • A high school photo ID
  • Pencils and paper
  • $10 for a special edition cSplash T-shirt (optional, but we have a limited quantity!)

See directions for information on how to get here.

Regrettably, we will not be able to offer parking at the Courant Institute.

Remember: We cannot guarantee a spot for any unregistered student,
but will do our best to accommodate day-of registration.

During the Day

We have a lounge on the 9th floor where you can hang out during your free periods.
There will be:

  • Tables with board games, brain teasers, and snacks
  • Instructors who will answer any questions you might have
  • And more!
Lunch will also be provided in the lounge to all cSplash students and instructors. We will be serving a mixture of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. We unfortunately will not be able to accommodate other dietary preferences, but will be happy to direct you to any of the cheap eateries in the neighborhood. Please check the Safety Policy section if you are considering eating out on the day of the event.

Adult Visitors

We do not, in general, allow adult visitors to accompany students. cSplash is more than a mere sum of the classes offered, and we believe that the non-academic aspects of the program do not mesh well with those outside of the intended age group. Exceptions can be made if your child requires accompaniment due to special circumstances. Otherwise, you will be at the heart of one of the most beautiful neighborhoods our city has to offer! Why not explore the Village for the day? :)

Safety Policy

We at cSplash expect the participants to be mature and responsible individuals and will not try to micromanage every step he or she takes on the day of the event. Nevertheless, we will have to keep track of the participants, and so we require that all cSplash students sign in and out when they leave and enter the building. Just tell us where you are going and when you will be back—it's as simple as that!
